HomeAbout Beth L. Schecter, MPH, MBA

I am an independent consultant specializing in organizational change, transition management, Executive Transitions and serving as a nonprofit Interim Executive Director. I believe in building board and staff capacity by providing information and tools for informed choices and decisive action. My areas of work include program planning and design, leadership transitions and onboarding, board development, community organizing, organizational restructuring, and creating earned income strategies.

With over 25 years of executive management experience, plus a unique combination of business and health administration educational background, I bring clarity, calmness, and a practical hands-on approach to challenges and dilemmas faced by many nonprofits. I have led a variety of organizations to new levels of achievement and creativity.

I am a vocal advocate for child and family services, prevention and treatment programs, and the arts. I have been successful at negotiating and collaborating with partners of all types:  local and state government, elected officials, school districts, law enforcement, universities, corporate and individual funders, foundations and numerous nonprofit entities.

I hold a Master of Public Health in school and community health education and a Master of Business Administration in organizational leadership.

My unique combination of educational and professional experience gives me a keen sense of “Doing nonprofit business with heart!”
